Hi, I am Gillian Ashwood, Director and Owner.

Growing up abroad meant that my passion for travel began in my early childhood. As an adult, I worked overseas as a military tailor, enjoying every opportunity to connect with new people from all over the world. Their stories of home and their travel adventures had a lasting impact on me, and I knew that it was something I wanted to pursue.

On my return to the UK, I discovered an opportunity at a local travel agency and as they say, the rest is history! In the early days of my career change I had the opportunity to learn from multiple different departments within the company, and it was during this time that I found my specialty in long-haul travel.

My dedication to the long-haul department allowed me to find my niche in the careful crafting of bespoke weddings and honeymoons. I found that centering my focus around the celebration of other people was incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. Knowing that this was a path I wanted to continue exploring with greater focus, I was encouraged to make the decision to work from home.

Working from home meant that I had more flexibility when working with my clients. It was this flexibility that saw a dramatic increase in clientele, allowing me the opportunity to expand my horizons, purchase a shop, and start my very own business.

Spending over 25 years in the constantly evolving world of Travel has brought me great joy. I have found first hand, and through my clients, that the ability to travel has the power to transform us, offering unparalleled opportunities for growth and unforgettable adventures.

My dedication to the industry has earned me the distinction of being the first and only Scottish Travel Agent to receive a place in the prestigious Sandals Chairman’s Royal Club. This is an honour that I have been awarded for seven consecutive years.

It brings me great joy to work closely with my clients, supporting their travel dreams and crafting bespoke holidays for them. I find myself eagerly awaiting their return, so that I can hear about their adventures and learn from their individual experiences.

I am incredibly proud of my journey in travel, the success of my independent business, and my incredible employees, without whom this dream would be impossible. My small but dedicated team are ready and waiting to deliver next adventure!
