My Summer City Break to Prague- Keira
A Summer Escape to Prague: My June Adventure
Prague in June is something truly special. Warm evenings, long sunny days, and a city full of character at every turn. I spent a few days exploring this beautiful place, and honestly, I loved every second of it. It’s one of those cities I’d 100% go back to without hesitation.
We stayed in the hotel Don Giovanni this hotel was amazing the bed was sooo comfy (ideal after a long day of sightseeing) was a 2 min walk to the metro and across the road from a lidl which was great for picking some cheap food up for the day!
A Whole Day at Prague Zoo
One of the biggest highlights of my trip was Prague Zoo. I ended up spending the full day there without even realising how fast time was flying. The place is huge, beautifully laid out, and home to an incredible variety of animals. From majestic big cats to playful monkeys, every section felt like a new little world. If you’re ever in Prague, set aside a proper chunk of time for the zoo because you’ll want it (we were there for over 7 hours!). My favourite part of the day was seeing a shoebill, I had seen them on social media for years and to find one at the in Prague took me completly by surpirse!
Food Heaven
If you love food, Prague will not disappoint. There are endless places to eat: cosy cafés, traditional Czech spots, street food stalls and international restaurants. Of course, you also have to try the beer. Prague takes pride in its brewing culture, and it shows in every pint.
Getting Around: Surprisingly Affordable
Something that really impressed me was how cheap and easy the public transport is. I bought a 3-day transport pass and couldn’t believe the value. Buses, trams, metro… you’re fully covered. Getting around the city was effortless and budget-friendly.
